Yusuf Hassan is the Member of Parliament for Kamukunji, Nairobi County (2013–present), after spending decades as an international civil servant with the United Nations. He served in high-pressure UNHCR postings including Geneva, Addis Ababa, Liberia, and the Iraq/Jordan response, before returning home to serve Eastleigh and the wider constituency through advocacy for refugees, the urban poor, and digital empowerment.

Leaders embraces youth skilling drive to tackle unemployment and insecurity

The first phase of the programme was officially launched by Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan at the Kamukunji Technical and Vocational College (KTVC) in Airbase Ward. The initiative targets 1,694 young people aged 35 and below from all five wards—Pumwani, Eastleigh North, Eastleigh South, Airbase and California—with hands-on training in market-relevant trades.
